China should Accelerate Legislation on Social Security

The 1997 Asian Financial Crisis brought disaster to south-eastern Asian countries. It also shocked China’s social security system. In order to build a consummate social security system, China has undergone continual reform and has achieved sound results. In this article, the author reviews 10 years of development in China’s social security system, analyzing its problems and challenges.
