China’s long march toward greater openness

Abstract:
This paper takes stock of the process and achievements of China’s opening-up, which has stimulated the country’s
economic growth, reform and structural upgrading and allowed China to benefit from income distribution. The new
mission of opening-up should be to increase total factor productivity and improve opening-up regime.
